Cathlynne Banda

Communication and PR Coordinator

Cathlynne is a legal professional based in the UK, working in private claimant work. Born in the Philippines and raised in the UK, Cathlynne is no stranger to the global community. 

Cathlynne has a Bachelor’s degree in Law with European Legal Studies from Newcastle University, with an exchange year at the University of Trento, Italy. She is part of the 2022-2024 cohort of the Erasmus Mundus programme in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development. During the programme, she specialised in International Human Rights Law, with a regional focus on Southeast Asia. Her research centred around the international human rights standards in ASEAN,  as well as ongoing peacebuilding processes in the region. During her year at the University of Tartu, Cathlynne has also gained experience acting as a researcher for the Estonian team in the IBA ICC Moot Court Competition.

Cathlynne is eager to contribute to the work of POLIscope and cultivate the global community that stemmed from ILGSPD.
