Cristopher is an international lawyer with a strong commitment to advancing human rights and sustainable development through policy-relevant work. He holds an LL.M. in International Law, Global Security, Peace, and Development, completed as part of the Erasmus Mundus programme at the University of Glasgow, Leuphana University, and the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). Cristopher is currently pursuing further specialization in human rights as a scholarship holder in the Master’s programme in International Development Studies at the Geneva Graduate Institute, while supporting the human rights advocacy team of Franciscans International before the United Nations.
Cristopher brings professional experience across national and international contexts, as well as the public, private, and civil society sectors. He has worked as a consultant at Löning, a Berlin-based firm specializing in Responsible Business and Human Rights. His background also includes serving as a research assistant for academic institutions such as IBEI and Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), and interning with government agencies and international organizations, including the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Permanent Mission of Ecuador to the UN, and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Ecuador.
In addition, Cristopher has been actively engaged in civil society, contributing to research and youth-led initiatives with organizations such as YudLeads and the Center for Research and Human Rights Studies. He currently contributes to the advocacy team of Franciscans International and have published through the ILGPSD series and the Re-ACT Lab team. Through Cristopher’s academic work and professional practice, he aims to contribute policy solutions that promote human rights and sustainable development.
