Elizabet Kakabadze

Elizabet Kakabadze is from Tbilisi, Georgia. She is an Erasmus Mundus scholar in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development, graduating with distinction. Prior to this programme, Elizabet obtained both an LL.B. and an LL.M. (summa cum laude) in International Law from Tbilisi State University.
Professionally, Elizabet served as a Refugee Status Determination Chief Specialist at the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, where she assessed eligibility for international protection and examined asylum claims in line with international and domestic legal standards.
She has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Glasgow Centre for International Law and Security and at the Centre for Migration Law at Radboud University, contributing to research in migration and international law.
Elizabet has extensive international mooting experience and currently coaches the Tbilisi State University team for the Nuremberg Moot Court.
She is fluent in English and Georgian, and proficient in French, German and Russian.
Her research interests include migration law, international human rights law, international criminal law, and the law of armed conflict.
