Leanne Yang

Communications Assistant

Leanne Yang is a researcher with a strong academic focus on international law, security studies, and cross-strait relations. She holds a Joint Master’s Degree in International and European Law and Security Studies from universities in the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from National Taiwan University.

Her master’s thesis examines Taiwan’s national defense policy and analyzes China–Taiwan gray zone strategies, with a particular focus on hybrid warfare, legal ambiguity, and regional security implications. Leanne has research experience at Academia Sinica, where she contributed to projects on EU security policy, energy security, and international trade law.

Her academic interests include security law, international relations in East Asia, and comparative defense policy.
